My Mini Vacation.

So if you guys follow me on twitter or are my friend on FB, you already know that I got to get away from work and enjoy some special time in NJ & NYC! :) Not only did I get to meet Mel & Tammy, but I got to spend lots of time with my Chocolate Daddy, Andy. :) I'm going to divide this entry up into two because it's just going to be so damn long!

I arrived Thursday and ran into the arms of Andy. We were only apart for a little over 2 weeks, but I felt like it was forever since I'd seen him. He had a bouquet of lilies and roses as well as a smoothie, and a vegan peanut butter jelly banana sandwich (it was a request) for me. :) We spent the first night watching cuddled up in bed while we watched Apoclyptco.


Friday I got to hang out with Mel & Tammy. (But since I adore the two so much, I am making a separate entry to document our fun/my haul) When I came home there was my Chocolate Daddy waiting for me with open arms and kisses... He was worried. I've never had a bf care so much for me, so seeing and feeling that he was actually concerned about me shopping alone with the ladies made me feel so special. That night he cooked a special dinner for me! Seared Scallops w/ a spicy mango sauce! Omg was it absolutely delicious... My man deff. spoils me! That night we relaxed at home and talked the night away in bed. I actually fell asleep while I was petting his face. lol. It was the damn wine I tell you!

Saturday was the 4th and I got to meet a lot of Andy's family in Brooklyn NY. Unfortunately I don't have pics because I was:
1-Too busy hiding from the dance floor
2-Helping Andy grill
3-Being introduced to everyone by Andy's mom (she surprised us and drove up from RI!) as her daughter. :) Oh yeah!
4-Talking to Andy's little brother about safe sex.

All in all, the BBQ was a success, even though the dancing kind of was... Let's say culture shock to me... lol. It was fun though! And the food was fabulous, the Haitian Black rice was my fave!

Sunday Andy made me some amazing French toast and flobauyed (spelling please?) bananas with vanilla syrup! I killed them, they were absolutely delicious, so delicious it was like sex!

Then Andy and I got tattoos together... I told you guys Andy spoils me! :) Andy got "know one self" in Latin on his arm, and I got a lotus flower on my hip! It was my first tattoo, and I am so glad that I got to share that experience with my man.

Julio, our tattoo artist was very patient with us, listened to use carefully and gave us everything we wanted. :) Very down to earth guy!

I love it, and I love the whole metaphor of lotuses too. I can relate.

Andy said he was very proud of me, and even Julio was surprised that I didn't flip out. Later that night I had a hamburger craving so Andy made hamburgers! Having a top chef bf is amazing, I seriously recommend it. That night I also got a little tipsy and Andy even picked me up and put me on the sink while he cleaned my tattoo for me. He's so caring I get emotional thinking of it sometimes. I am such a lucky girl to have such an amazing man in my life.

Monday was rough for me... Our last day together... But I was determined not to let it bother me. We first had a picnic in the park! We ordered pepperoni pizza and banana peppers(my fave). After eating we just laid there talking and watching the little kids play around us. It was truly a great day for a picnic.

It was pretty good too! We didn't have much time to waste,
because Andy would have made a pizza from scratch.

Then it was off to New York! We: hit up the Dinsey store and Chinatown, kissed in Chinatown and pissed off some closed minded Asians, met up with his friend/lil sis, ate dirty water hot dogs before dinner,then went to dinner immediately after.

lol we made put together a mr. potato head at the Disney store.

I bought Andy lots of sweets from the Asian Bakeries
and I told him to pose with the bags, but an Asian way. This is the result. lmao

Andy has a tradition of getting a dirty water hot dog everytime he goes to NY...


And I was totally down to eat a hot dog, it's been honestly years.

Then we had Dinner at Taboon, a Moroccan restaurant. We ate outside with candlelight and it was really romantic and nice! A lot of people were looking at us... I guess they noticed how happy and completely in love we were. It felt nice. We didn't eat much for dinner because we had already had the hot dogs, but everything we had was great anyways! For an appetizer we had the humus. And omg I am so sad that I forgot to take a picture! :( It was so delicious, and the bread was amazing! And picked the best bottle of wine to pair with it too, so my wine was sweet. hehe My bf is a professional bitches!

Then for dessert we had knaffe, this is just indescribable... It was FABULOUS!

After dinner we were tired and it was time to go home. Andy put back my seat and made me go to sleep during the ride home. So by the time I opened my eyes, we were home already. I kind of broke down and cried though because I knew time was getting closer... Until I had to go home and leave Andy for a week or two. Andy calmed me down and told me not to think about it, and held me and ran his fingers through my hair and petted my head until I feel into a deep sleep. He's so good to me.

Before I knew it, it was morning time already and after packing and getting things in order, it was time to go to work with Andy... I had another meltdown and cried again. Again Andy got me to stop crying.

At work I got to sit in Andy's office and write on his FB wall as well as a love note that I hung on his desk. I met a few staff members and just tried to stay calm and control another crying episode. It really is agonizing to leave his side, it really is... He was running around the kitchen doing his prep and making sure his staff did everything they were suppose to do while he was off. Then surprisingly he comes in with a plate. He made me eat... He's so sweet! He was so busy, yet he still found time for me.

I ate half... Not because I was hungry,
but because I didn't want him to worry all day.

About an hour later it was time to head to the train station... In the car I couldn't hold it back much longer and broke down yet again. I cried while I got my ticket and clung onto Andy at the train station like a little kid. :( I stopped crying around 20 minutes later... Then I looked down at the paper bag he had packed me.... Cookies and a fruit cup... He really does take care of me already.... I started to cry for another half an hr. Luckily I had my sunglasses. Ugh Do I miss him so much, and it has only been a day!

I feel like no one else has ever existed before Andy... I don't care what people think about us, I don't care if people laugh and say this is so soon, so fast of me, because those people essentially don't know how it feels to be in love like me. It was funny because even at the tattoo parlor the receptionist told us that it seemed like we have been together for a very long time. We both laughed and just told her how long we knew each other. Happiness and love is contagious, and when we were walking the streets of NYC, around NJ, anywhere I could that what I have is indeed real.

I have finally met the one that I have been searching for. But most importantly I feel like I have found the rest of myself. Nosce De Ipsum. Just like his tattoo.
